Women's Resource Center

The Women's Resource Center seeks to empower women and to encourage their active and equal participation in all levels of the university community and the larger society. They encourage the participation of all people in the community as they strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for self-identified women.

The WRC hosts and co-sponsors a number of events throughout the year, including annual favorites such as The Vagina Monologues, International Women's Day, and Take Back The Night. They also bring speakers and performers to campus, sponsor discussion groups, and promote awareness campaigns related to a variety of women's issues.

The WRC is the home of three large programs: the Interpersonal Violence Program for students, staff and faculty dealing with issues of sexual assault and domestic violence; the Returning Women Students Program for women who are returning to school after a break in their education; and thier Volnteer Program, which draws on the talents of students from all areas of the university.

Members of the Women's Resource Center sit on a number of University, county, and state level committees and task forces. We strive to represent PSU women and students, and to keep the issues important to female identified students at the forefront of discussion and action.
