Senior Capstone Fair

The 2019 Annual Capstone Fair

University Studies presents:

Senior Capstone Fair
Thursday, May 2nd
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
327, 328, & 329 | Smith Memorial Student Union

All of Portland State University’s community is invited to this informative event. Junior and senior students can find a Capstone that will be the most meaningful for them, and clarify the role and responsibilities that they can expect to take on as they engage in their Capstone. First and second year students are welcome to explore and discover PSU’s culminating educational experience, and how they will apply the skills they develop throughout their college education. Also, Portland State faculty and administrators from across campus can learn more about the various Capstone partnerships and projects.

The Capstone Fair is a faculty initiative that provides a venue where students can meet with the Capstone instructors and the community partners associated with Capstones. Capstone courses are designed by the University’s faculty to build cooperative learning communities by taking students out of the classroom and into the greater Portland metropolitan area and abroad. In Capstone courses, students bring together the knowledge, skills, and interests developed to this point through all aspects of their education, to work on a community project. Students from a variety of majors and backgrounds work as a team, pooling resources, and collaborating with faculty and community leaders to understand and find solutions for real-world issues that are important to them as literate and engaged citizens.

This event is free and open to PSU’s community. For detailed Capstone course information please visit our Capstone Courses page or see our 2019-2020 Capstone Capsule.
