Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon (MESO)

The Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon seeks to broaden economic opportunities for underserved entrepreneurs by providing business support to increase growth in income, assets, and business skills. Their Mission Statement is to assist in the development of commercially viable businesses that pursue growth opportunities, create jobs, and restore economic balance among minorities and other underserved groups for the benefit of the greater community.

City of Gresham

Whether it's getting involved in local government or giving back to your neighborhood, Gresham has plenty of opportunities. The City, our citizens, and businesses are committed to investing in sustainable practices. It is our pleasure to share a sample of the City's efforts to date. These actions are already yielding benefits as we continue on the path toward a Sustainable Gresham.

Meyers Boys and Girls Club

The Mission of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Portland Metropolitan Area is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Northwest History Network

The Northwest History Network (NWHN) is a non-profit corporation registered with the State of Oregon.  They aim to provide professional support for community partners in their efforts to document, preserve, and/or present their histories. NWHN also facilitates communication and foster collaboration between public and private organizations, educational institutions, libraries, museums, and archives to increase public access to historical materials and promote public understanding of the past.

Luthran Community Services

The Luthran Community Services African Women's Coalition will provide a meaningful opportunity for students to meet UNST goals and course objectives.  AWC will co-ordinate, monitor, and assist students to facilitate a productive tutoring experience.  AWC will support the tutoring experience through contact with the schools, the children, and their families and provide a fair and thorough assessment of each student's participation in the tutoring.

Trillium Roof-top Garden Project

Trillium Charter School Roof-top Edible Garden Project (Winter, Spring, Summer): Students participate in this ongoing project in various capacities. Completed projects include partnering with Trillium's woodworking class to build garden container boxes; Edible Skylines, a Trillium community partner; the school's garden program coordinator to solicit donations of reclaimed lumber and other materials, maintain garden space, and work with school youth on garden projects.

Wilson High School

Students will work directly with high school or middle school teachers to research and prepare various units of study on Media Literacy. Students will use a methodology that focuses on case studies that investigate Media Literacy and its influence on a variety of subjects. Students will determine, by interest and experience, the units to be developed and then supported as the content of the in-service workshop. Possibilities include: Media and Politics, Media and History, Media and Resource Allocation, Media and Consumers, and Media and the Military.

Riverdale High School

Clackamas River Basin Council

Clackamas River Basin Council is a voluntary Watershed Council, founded in 1997 with representatives elected from 21 diverse member groups in the basin. We meet monthly as a consensus-based forum to foster partnerships for clean water, healthy streams, and abundant fisheries in our watershed. Our aim is to protect and improve water quality and fish and wildlife habitat, and support the quality of life for those who live, work and recreate in the Clackamas River basin.
