Portland Youth Builders

Portland Youth Builders (PYB) is a nonprofit organization that provides educational, vocational, and leadership development programs for low-income men and women aged 17-24. Each year they serve an average of 200 young people in the greater metropolitan area from our facility in outer Southeast Portland.

The efforts of PYB are supported by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the US Department of Labor (DOL), the Corporation for National and Community Service, and other public and private partners and funders. PYB is accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools and is a high school diploma-granting organization.
At PYB, Capstone students have the opportunity to tutor and mentor young men and women in a variety of academic subjects, and assist PYB in various projects that support the mission of the organization and the students they serve.
