I am entering my second year as a Capstone instructor and have been working in the field of human services and community health for fifteen years. I am currently the Programs Director for Urban League of Portland and have served in this role since 2013. I have been a registered nurse for twelve years, and after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester in 2006, I began working for nonprofit organizations focused on the intersections of health and social justice. Most recently, I obtained my Masters in Public Health and Masters of Social Work in the dual degree program at Portland State University. My educational background and professional career has been focused on health equity, policy, and the dynamics of social change.
